The hotel is a true gem, with its old world charm and abundance of history. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean. I loved the eclectic mix of antiques scattered throughout, giving it a sense of wonder and nostalgia. The location is perfect, right in downtown, with a great restaurant just across the street. And the breakfast spread had a wide variety of choices, beyond the standard American items.
Everything was great, nothing to complain about!

It was a great location in the centre of town. Old, with a bit of history and much more interesting than a motel. Restaurant and bar were very adequate. Good car parking at the rear and Torrington is a dear old town - and very central to the Litchfield Hills.

The furniture had a charming vintage style and the nearby O'connor's Public House served great drinks. Rephrased: The furniture had a lovely vintage style, and I enjoyed the drinks at O'connor's Public House nearby.

Friendly but low- key. Nice to see history preserved and to feel like a part of it all. A great alternative to staying in Danbury- a good location for exploring Litchfield County. A bonus was the street fair happening right outside the door- it was nice to see community spirit.

A great place to stay, centrally located in Torrington & giving easy access to the surrounding area. The inn has great character, a big old rambling structure. The staff were friendly & helpful, the restaurant & meals were first rate. I would recommend the Yankee Pedlar Inn to any traveller. As a foreign tourist, I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel had great Christmas decorations and warming drinks on arrival. the location of the hotel was perfect, walking distance to shops and restaurants. the room price included a continental breakfast, which was decent.
The room was dingy and outdated, with broken furniture and chipped paint. the bathroom was inadequate and lacked basic toiletries.

The lobby and proximity to the local restaurant. The first room we stayed in had a peculiar odor, but the one we moved to was great.
The first room we stayed in, 215, had a disgusting odor. The room we moved to, 221, was great for a family with children and while quite hot, was great.

After reading reviews on this Inn, I was skeptical about booking; however, the price was great and we were only there to sleep, so I booked it. I am so glad we did. From the minute we arrived the front desk girl was nice, outgoing, etc. till the time we left in the morning, the gentleman at the front desk was the same even informing us of upcoming events they are gonig to have in the fall. We stayed here because of the price, and location. We did the ct Winter Wine Trail and this was in a good location to reach all of them. Would definitely stay here again. The restuarant attached is also very good.

Great Location & Complementary Facts
On the positive side, the location was great with easy access to nearby attractions and shopping. Additionally, the complementary breakfast and Wi-Fi were appreciated.
The hotel was quite old and not comfortable. The rooms felt cramped and stuffy, with outdated features and furnishings.

Old style furnishings. Historic feel. But with plenty of modern amenities.
My room on the street side got a lot of outside noise. And radiators cannot be controlled and the room got very hot. I had to open the window which adds to the noise. Could use a little brush up on some rusty spots in the bathroom.
